2018 Summer Break is Approaching

Hi Sweet Friends,

Look what has transpired over the past 2 years!!  These two Grandbabies have!  Just like that, I am a grandma of 3!  They are a joy and are more independent than ever.  In the past two years I have been able to manage an infant in one hand and a brush in another, more like a filbert or bright brush on a canvas.  But, I don't think I could ever give up painting furniture and that is why I integrated the two on my blog and Facebook.

So you will find me sharing both together and individually.  Thankfully and I say this very carefully because so many are still out of their homes...we were not effected by Hurricane Harvey flood wise.  I was able to use the time off from work to paint what I had stored in the garage.  The flood waters peaked up onto our driveway but receded within an hour and so on. I remember that night very well, we ignored all the flood watch warnings.  We were not at home and it was the scariest drive home I have ever experienced.  So what I have learned and will share is that if you are getting continuous non-stop warnings interrupting your TV enjoyment, and you are not home, please heed the warnings...your car or truck will Thank YouπŸ’—❤️πŸ’š

I will later share a before photograph of this beautiful dresser above...it was in pristine condition however, it just didn't show as pretty. I haven't laid down my paint brush just yet...but I have turned away work only because I am not able to give a reasonable turnaround to my clients.  So when I paint, its on my own time..stress freeπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Tallboy Dresser
This Tallboy dresser was one of three pieces that I painted as a set.  If you are interested in the paint color let me know because I do sometimes archive that kind of stuff, I just didn't have it when I started this post.  White and Black seems to be an occurring theme on Instagram and on the Fixer Upper!  And I too love it!  It shows well in photographs and is such a clean look, any pop of color just makes it even more appealing.

My ultimate FAV is painting flowers!  And they last much much longer on canvasπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’  If you want to see some of my past work I have updated it just look on the tabs above.
